Why Women Only Spaces?

From our Magickal Producer, Marston Blow

There is a certain feeling that can only be found in women only spaces... a sense of safety, depth and authenticity.  It simply feels right.  And it's fun!

Gathering together renews us. It helps us recharge and RE-member our powerful Divine Feminine Self.  When we return to the world, we are strengthened, more rooted in our true selves, confident in our unique gifts, and better able to meet these changing times with courage, compassion, and clarity. From that place, we are better able to stand for what is just, nurture our communities, and help shape a world that honors all life.

Women need to gather to remember the sacred within ourselves and within nature, to experience beauty, belonging, and the healing that naturally arises when we come together

When I declared we could create an herbal gathering on my 60th Firehorse Aquarius birthday, I didn't realize how immersed I would become.  I feel so passionate about it, similarly to when I started pottery, except I’m older and have a wealth of experiences and connections.  I have come into my calling.  This is why we are here now, to “break the spiral of power and find the trick of cooperation” (Germain).  The gathering is not simply to learn and have a rich time.  It is to gain wisdom and to strengthen each other to step into leadership - individually and as a circle of women.  The amazing circle of women who came together to help birth Plant Magick agreed Equity and Right Relationship must be central, as it should be. For we Are the ones we’ve been waiting for.  The time is Now and we are moving forward, together.

Equity

Planted in the practice of returning the sacred to the earth and the community, our equity guidelines are built to intentionally uplift the margins, honor our diverse lineages, and prioritize tangible reciprocity over transactional pricing. We recognize that our world holds systemic imbalances which we labor to heal through true access and mutual care.

We understand that financial access is deeply tied to historical inequities. Dedicated scholarship pathways are prioritized for individuals from systemically silenced and interrupted lineages so that community medicine ways are accessible to those who have historically been excluded.

Centering the Collective and Inclusion

True access means cultivating an environment where our diverse communities don't just attend, but genuinely belong. We intentionally structure our gathering to align with these foundational practices:

Trauma-Informed & Safe Containers- We work actively to hold a space of deep accountability and non-judgment. Understanding that unwinding from dominant systems and culture can bring up discomfort, we lean into relational repair, pacing ourselves to ensure individual healing can safely ripple into collective transformation.

Multi-Generational Belonging- Children, mothers, and elders are essential to the tapestry of our gathering. We support families by integrating dedicated youth activities and cooperative childcare, honoring the truth that it takes a whole community to hold our sacred spaces.

Interdependent Care- From accessible pathways on the land to a shared mutual aid network within the camp itself, we invite every participant into an integrated field of aliveness. We are all responsible for the health, safety, and reverence of ALL bodies present, practicing real alliance from the moment we gather around the fire.

Our Commitment to the Land

We acknowledge with deep humility that the land beneath our feet is the ancestral, unceded home of the Indigenous peoples who have loved, tended, and listened to these waters and forests since time immemorial. As guests on this landscape, we recognize the profound systemic disruptions and silencing that have impacted these lineages, and we refuse to let our presence be extractive. We hold ourselves accountable to the living truth of this land, honoring it through an active commitment to healing, deep listening, truth and tangible reciprocity. With Mother Earth as our conscious witness, and living teacher, we enter this space to remember our sacred response-ability to each other and this planet that we call home.

Land Protocols- We operate under the explicit guidance of local and native land keepers regarding how we interact with the physical site. This includes respecting sensitive ecological zones and understanding the historical context of the land we are occupying for the weekend.

Worktrade Program

Through our work-trade program, women offer their time and skills in exchange for a reduced or free ticket. Limited positions are available supporting the flow of the weekend. Please only apply if you are both committed to holding this container well AND are needing financial assistance to attend. Thank You!
